Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) Training

The STF Mobile Training Team has created a world-class MUOS training program, with three offerings available for all MUOS-related roles: MUOS Planner/Manager (MPM), MUOS Provisioner/Operator (MPO), and MUOS Professional (MP).

Training Courses

MUOS Planner/Manager (MPM)

Length: 3 days | Prerequisite: None

The MPM course is tailored specifically for planner and manager roles. The course focuses on MUOS profiles and groups and generating all other material necessary to position provisioners and operators for operational success.

MUOS Provisioner/Operator (MPO)

Length: 3 days | Prerequisite: None

The MPO course is custom-designed for provisioner and operator roles. Students will gain valuable insight into how to create JENM MUOS network designs, generate radio mission plans, and configure all necessary host computer and applications. Training will culminate with live over-the-air communications on MUOS.

MUOS Professional (MP)

Length: 5 days | Prerequisite: None

The MP Course teaches students how to plan, provision, and operate the MUOS waveform via any MUOS-capable terminal. MP training is comprehensive end-to-end training and includes all learning topics within the MP and MPO curriculums.

Line of Sight (LOS) / Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) Waveforms

Length: 3 days | Prerequisite: None

The STF Mobile Training Team has developed a tip of the spear hybrid learning curriculum for the newest generation of tactical communications waveforms and integration. Each of the below courses involves a multi-day, in-person event at the location of the customer's choice.

Adaptive Network Wideband Waveform C (ANW2C) (Suite A and B)

Antenna Theory and Design

Length: 3 days | Prerequisite: None

You will learn: 

  • HF capabilities, planning, configuration, and operation
  • HF propagation
  • Terminal specifications and operating procedures
  • 3rd Generation Automatic Link Establishment
  • System Planning Engineering and Evaluation Device
  • HF antenna theory and field expedient antenna design
  • Live, over-the-air radio operations
  • Final Capstone

Application Integration Training 

The STF Mobile Training Team’s diverse knowledge and operational experience help drive the warfighter's next generation of data capabilities through IP-based Applications. Our premier courses, onsite training, and engaging end-to-end experience culminate into a live radio operation capstone.

TACTICAL ASSAULT KIT (TAK)

  • WINTAK, ATAK, ETAK, SWAK, FCD-W

Length: 2 days | Prerequisite: None

You will learn: 

  • TAK overview and Integration
  • MUOS P2P/P2N or similar sustainment training
  • TAK access and registration
  • Configuration and Operations
  • Live, over-the-air radio operations
  • Final Capstone

IP-Based Chat Applications 

The STF Mobile Training Team’s diverse knowledge and operational experience help drive the warfighter's next generation of data capabilities through IP-based Applications. Our premier courses, onsite training, and engaging end-to-end experience culminate into a live radio operation capstone.

JREAP-C, IRC-based applications

Length: 2 days | Prerequisite: None

You will learn: 

  • Application overview and fundamentals
  • LOS/BLOS waveform sustainment training
  • Configuration and Operations
  • Application Integration
  • Live, over-the-air radio operations
  • Final Capstone

Culmination Course 

The pinnacle of course material combines three of our premiere courses together into a customized course and exercise simulation summit.

Length: 10 days | Prerequisite: Any MUOS Training Course or Any LOS/BLOS Training Course
